About Eli Koenreich
Eli Koenreich was married to Mary Bush on 27 Jul 1854 in Mahoning County, Ohio. They had the following children: Mary Ellen, Rebecca Elizabeth, Samuel Robert, William Henry, Laura Sophia and Lydia Adeline.
The Eli Koenreich Farm was a splendid 80 acre farm that included a two story house with out-kitchen and outbuildings, a large bank barn, orchards of apples and cherries and 2 good wells.
He wife preceded him in death, and he was survived by 5 children, 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Son Samuel was appointed Executor of his last will and testament.

The funeral of Eli Koenreich last Sunday at the Lutheran church was the largest here for a number of years. Mr. Koenriech was aged 84 years and lived one and a half miles south of New Buffalo for 40 years. He was widley known and will be greatly missed at church as he always attended when his heath permitted. His sight was very poor but his hearing was good. He had learned to recognize everybody by their voice. Rev. Graf conducted the funeral services.
