Elijah Pease Jr. is listed as a founder of Red House, New York and enumerated at Cold Spring in 1840 as well as brother David Pease.Red House was located on the Seneca Indian Reservation and is now defunct due to the building of the Kinzua Dam in 1965. All original graveyards existing on the Reservation in the area of the dam were moved to Steamburg or Cold Springs.
Sometime before 1840, Elijah Pease and Mercy move from Vermont to Bucktooth, Cattaraugus County, New York, on the Seneca reservation. Their kinfolk, the Wright family are living on the Seneca Reservation and at Fleming, Cayuga, New York.

The 1855 New York State Census shows that Elijah Peas, 46, and wife Mercy Peas, 47, lived at Bucktooth, Cattaraugus County, New York. Living with them were son John W. Peas, 21; daugther Esther Ann Peas, 19; daughter Elizabeth A. Peas, 17; son Franklin Peas, 15; and adopted daughter Mary Fuller, 2.
The 1860 US Census shows that Elijah Pease, 52, and wife Mercy Pease, 52, lived at Bucktooth, Cattaraugus County, New York. Living with them were (son) John W. Pease, 26; and (son) Franklin Pease, 20. (Note that adopted daughter Mary R. Fuller aka Mary R. Pease
