About Elin Jakobsdotter (Bååt)
Elin Jakobsdotter (Bååt), Nr.3
- Elin Jakobsdotter Bååt is supposedly the daughter of Jakob Jacobson Snakenborg and Holmfrid Pedersdotter Pik.? After further research, I’ve come across a source that shows Holmfried Pedersdotter Pik may not be the mother of Elin Jakobsdotter Baat. From the Eskilsäter Church, Värmland Funeral Banner Family Board for Lennart Silfversvärd, shows Holmfrid Pedersdotter Pik’s birth and death dates as 1660-1611? Either these dates are incorrect or Holmfried Pedersdotter Pik isn’t Elin Jakobsdotter Baat’s mother. Lennart Silfversvärd Family Banner shows Elin Jakobsdotter (Bååt) was born in 1578 and died in 1643, something is definitely wrong here.
- Birth: 1578, in Lång, Grums, Värmland, Sverige
- Elin BÄÄT, was living in 1634.
- Death: 1643 in Sweden
- HERE’S THE PROOF THAT ELIN JACOBSDOTTER WAS A Bååt
Debate if Elin Jakobsdotter was from the Bååt Family
Through extensive research from direct line descendants, we have found 3 sources to prove Elin Jakobsdotter was a Baat. Recently Kjell Magnell in his essay "Pelle i Ramstad, Stårckarna och Elin Jakobsdotter" (Släkt och Hävd 1965, pp 397-420). He demonstrated that Elin Jakobsdotter was not from the Baat Family.
This essay has created a debate on the parents of Elin Jakobsdotter Baat: Here’s three main sources that proves she is the daughter of Jakob Jacobson Snakenborg and Holmfrid Pedersdotter Pik. In the Elgienstierna "The indoctrinated Swedish nobility's pedigrees". Volume VIII p.70 it says that Lennart Svenske was married to Elin Jakobsdotter Bååt, daughter of Demonstrated by Kjell Magnell in the essay "Pelle i Ramstad, Stårckarna och Elin Jakobsdotter" (Släkt och Hävd 1965, pp 397-420). According to Magnell, Lennart Svenske was married to Elin Jakobsdotter, who was the daughter of Jacob Jonsson of Lång, Grums (S) and his wife Holmfrid Pedersdotter. In the essay it appears that Holmfrid's husband was the deceased rider Jakob Jonsson i Lång, who was of unknown origin. THIS IS TOTALLY INCORRECT!

Year and number: 1633 Register: Letter writer register - The National Archives' individual archives and collections from The National Archives' official archive (collective records) in Sweden.

Elin married Ryttmastaren Lennart Pedersson Svenske, till Satra.
