We have two contemporary profiles named Ellen Serlin in this period, one married to Truid Nielsen Due but named either Serlin or Breide, and the other married to Bo Jensen Grubbe, til Alslev, but named either Ellen Serlin or Margrethe Sandberg, both only named in family books when it comes to sources. Regarding the shield, this profile actually fits the Serlin family who had the same shield, a checkered shield with a lion, something the Sandberg family didn't have, they had just a lion.

When looking at the Serlin family, it's hard to find any suitable contemporary named daughters except for this one, N.N. Her mother was a Serlin, married to Putbus, and she was taken into custody at her mothers cousin Claus likely shortly after that her both parents had died 1320, togheter with her brother. It seems likely that if this is the same person, she could have had the shield from her mothers family instead of her fathers. It's also possible that Bo Grubbe married twice, first Ellen Serlin, then Margrethe Sandbjerg, as the names are completly different.

If this is correct, this profile should be named Margrethe Sandbjerg, and be the second wife, or Ellen Serlin ought to be placed onto this profile, and merged with the only fitting contemporary likely candidate N.N. Nicolausdatter Putbus this in turn, means also that Truid Nielsen Due actually did married a Breide, not a Serlin, as it's seems unlikely to have two contemporary Ellen Serlin, unless she infact was married first to Truid who died after ca. 1339, and secondly to Bo, who died 1349, but in this scenario, she must have died before Bo Grubbe, so he could remarry Margaretha Sandberg.

But regarding the offsprings in Bo's case, it's seems unlikely that all of his children could have been born after 1339 in his first marriage with Ellen, as they appear to have been born at least in the near 1330.

Anyway, the way this actual profile is depicted right now, Elin Serlin Sandberg it's just a wild guess with a very unlikley father, as he would have been over 70 years old when having this daughter, if this profile actually was Margrethe Sandbjerg, then she would possible have been his grandchild at most.
