About Elinor Christina CHRISTINE Moulder, SM
Elinor’s husband, Sybren Schaap, left South Africa in 1935 to visit his family in Friesland. After he left, someone made a joke and told her that he was leaving her forever and that he is going to his other wife in Friesland and never coming back. This seemed to have an immense effect on her and she passed away very soon afterwards from a broken heart (according to family). Upon arriving in Friesland, Sybren received the news that his wife had passed away back home. She was buried on the family farm Palmietfontein in Polokwane while her husband is buried in Tzaneen.
The first three of Elinor’s children passed away at the same time. Their next three children were given the exact names of the ones that had passed away.
