Elise (94) was found an injured at her Woodfield Village town house, on 13th October 2013. As the circumstances were suspicious, the George Police were asked to open a murder docket into the death. Elise was found with her bed on top of her head. She had suffered a broken cheek bone, trauma to both sides of her head, and a broken elbow. She was admitted to George hospital and treated for a brain haemorrhage.
Police detectives checked for fingerprints and clues. A few days later the K9 Unit brought sniffer dogs who became quite agitated and jumped onto Elise's bed.
As the police had ruled her death due to a fall, and no foul--play suspected, Lienie Nel, who found Elise, requested the services of private investigator Michael Hills. "There is no way that she could have lifted that heavy bed onto her own head, or even have fallen in such a way for this to have happened. It is unlikely that this is a natural death. It would be most revealing, however, to see the coroner's autopsy report," said Hill.
Lienie Nel applied for a copy of the coroner's report and was promised she would be given one.
No further reports can be found.
