61. Eliza Seaman4 KROUSKOP (Jacob3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 18 February 1846 in Lake Township, Logan County, Ohio. She died 2 December 1926 in Richland County, Wisconsin at age 80, and was buried in Sextonville Cemetery, Richland County.
On 15 March 1864 Eliza married Julien LeRoy MCCOLLUM who was born 4 January 1842 in Leicester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, the son of Asa and Hadassah (Kingsbury) McCollum. His brother Lewis Cass McCollum married Nellie Blanche Akey, his wife Eliza’s niece (see #191 above). Julien died 3 July 1931 in Richland County at age 89 and was buried in Sextonville Cemetery. Julien, who also went by his initials J. L. R., attended Bratton’s Business College in Chicago and also obtained a teaching certificate. At the age of 21 he was engaged in the mercantile business near Sextonville with A.H. Krouskop, the brother of his future bride Eliza. He served in the Wisconsin state assembly in 1875 and 1876. In 1877 he began farming in Sextonville on property in the Pine River Valley.

199 ii. Dock Curtis MCCOLLUM was born 30 August 1867. He died 17 October 1955 in Richland County, Wisconsin at age 88. On 10 February 1900 Dock married Lulu NOURSE who was born 6 November 1871, the daughter of Franklin and Hannah (Fellows) Nourse. She died 1 August 1900 in Richland County at age 28, and was buried in Sextonville Cemetery, Richland County. He married second Lois M. RIST circa 1905 in Wisconsin. Lois was born 17 June 1868, the daughter of John and Martha Jane (Page) Thompson, and died 18 January 1932 at age 63. She was buried in Sextonville Cemetery. Lois married Lewis H. Rist 25 December 1887.

Notes He started the first grocery store in Twin Bluffs, WI, and was appointed the second postmaster. In 1886, he was appointed the station master for Twin Bluffs and his brother, Elmer, bought out his share in the grocery store. He and his wife took their wedding trip to Jacksonville, FL, to attend the first annual convention of the International Association of Ticket Agents, of which he was a charter member. In 1894, he was transferred by the railroad company to Prairie du Sac where he was an agent for seven years. In 1901, he became ill and moved to Vivan, SD. He became station master at Vivian in 1906, and held that position until his retirement in June 1937. |

He was buried in Sextonville Cemetery in that county. Dock married first Lula NOURSE, the daughter of Franklin and Hannah (Fellows) Nourse, 10 February 1900 in Richland County. She was born 6 November 1871 in Ithaca, Richland County and died 1 August 1900 in that county at age 28. Lou, as she was called, was buried in Sextonville Cemetery. Dock married second 1 June 1904 Lois M. THOMPSON, the daughter of William and Martha (Page) Thompson, who was married previously 10 January 1888 in Ithaca to Lewis H. Rist, the son of Henry and Eliza (Sedgwick) Rist. He was born 24 November 1864 in Sauk County, Wisconsin and died 2 March 1902 in Twin Bluffs, Richland County at age 37. Lois was born 17 June 1868 in Wisconsin and died 18 January 1932 in Richland County at age 63.
