Research Notes
Did Robert and Mourning Adams have two daughters named ANNE - one born in 1712 and the other born about 1725? Is Anne the Younger the one born in 1725. Why is Anne born in 1712 not mentioned in her father's will? Did she die before him?
Robert Adams had several land records, located at the Virginia State Library in Richmond, indicate he owned many acres in Virginia, the earliest purchase from about 1717. Most of this land is mentioned in his Will. He possibly obtained his Captain status during the Indian Wars.[6]
If Robert was truly born in 1689 and his mother Mary Walker was born in 1630 then it does not seem possible that she had him at the age of 55.
