About Eliza Jane Osborne

Born in England in around 1848, Eliza was a infant when she and her parents and older sister, Emma sailed form London to South Australia on the ship Emily in 1849, She lived at Mount Barker before moving with her Father and Step-Mother to Clunes in Victoria around 1854. She was only 15years 5 months when she married Robert Osborne at Coghill's Creek Vic. in 1863, Robert was a saw miller and so the couple moved about the country, twelve children between 1865 and 1890 She died at the Telegraph Sawmill near Eganstown on 5th September 1912 aged 64 years old. buried at the Burwood Cemetery Melbourne 7th September 1912
