THE LATE MRS. AYLIFFE.
The funeral of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Ayliffe, of whose life as an old colonist we have given a short account, took place at the West-terrace Cemetery on Sunday afternoon in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The Rev. W. H. Mudie conducted the service. Amongst those assembled at the grave were :— Messrs. G. H. and W. H. Ayliffe (sons), G. E. H., G. G., and L. H. Ayliffe (grandsons), H. C. H. Ayliffe, J. A. Plunkett (Deputy Registrar General), Thomas Farrell (Chief Inspector Health Department), J. Wiltshire, J.N.Taylor, J. Badman, J. Kelly, T. W. Chalk, C. Burton, Matson, Rankine, Burke, Neill, Pickett, Callaghan, Vausmann, Trathan, H. Hamilton, F.Hamilton, Kearse, James Goodfellow, Gardner, Mooney, Maxwell, Campbell, W. Bottomley, and Sharpe.
