Comments
Isaac Basie and Thomas Pitman, named as estate executors along with wife Ann Pope, seem to have been sons in law of married daughters, not named in Will. Since the 4 named sons were underage, it seems likely there had been a first, unnamed wife, mother of daughters already married in 1722. Ann Pope was born about 1703, and Elizabeth Basye was supposedly having children by 1692. Was she a sister of John Pope; a more distant relative; a second wife?
