JOHN HENRY BEALL

John was born January 1, 1760, in England. John married Elizabeth Richards in Jamestown, VA. There is a legend in the Beall family that Elizabeth was of Cherokee Indian and Spanish descent. They settled in the Parson-Minear settlement at St. George, Randolph (now Tucker Co., WV) VA. Elizabeth died in 1818. John died January 16, 1837, at age 77.

There is a story that Elizabeth was adopted by a Richards family and that John Beall met her in florida and brought her back to Virginia where they married and had children.
