Descendants of James BLACKMAN and Elizabeth HARLEY

James was born cir 1759 in Kent England and baptized 25th May 1760 in Deptford Kent. He died 6th May 1842 in Mudgee and is buried in Blackman Park Mudgee.

On 3rd December 1785 at St Margarets, Lee in Kent, he married Elizabeth HARLEY, who was born in 1765 in Kent and baptized 1771 in Woolwich Kent. She died 2nd July 1842 in Mudgee and is also buried in Blackman Park in Mudgee. Elizabeth was the daughter of George HARLEY and Elizabeth LOVE.

James and Elizabeth arrived in Australia with 5 children on 14th December 1801 on the �Canada�. They had another 5 children in New South Wales.

She married William CARLISLE (cir 1784-27th July 1852), the son of William CARLISLE and Ann SCARBOROUGH). (He was previously married to Mary Ann GORDON). Elizabeth and William were married 7th January 1816 in St Peters CofE Richmond.

They had 3 children -

(1) James William Carlisle (1817-1863)

(2) John Carlisle (1818-1893). He married Elizabeth PHIPPS and they had 10 children.

(3) Henrietta Carlisle (1821-1856). She married Michael McGRATH and they had 6 children.

John ROBERTS was born cir 1801 in Hawkesbury NSW, the son of William Roberts and Kezia Brown. He died 28th July 1880 in Windsor and is buried in St Matthews CofE Windsor. John and Elizabeth Blackman had 7 children -
