About Elizabeth Blaisdell

Ralph Blaisdell, 1593 – 1649, left from Goosnargh Parish, Lancashire, England, with his wife, Elizabeth, and three-year-old son, Henry, to go to America on the Archangel Gabriel sailing ship. The ship left June 4, 1635 from Bristol, England and arrived at Pemaquid Point the evening of August 14. The ship was destroyed by a hurricane the morning of August 15. The possessions and cattle for the 30 passengers (10 families) were lost.

Elizabeth Baisdell's Will probated 08 Oct 1667.

Ralph Blaisdell of Lancashire, his wife and his son Henry came to New England in 1635 on the Angel Gabriel. The 240-ton Angel Gabriel was wrecked in a great storm off the Maine coast. Most of the passengers survived.

A "widow Blaisdell" is on a 3 (12) 1650 list of commoners in Salisbury. Is this Elizabeth? Elizabeth successfully sued Edward Gillman for a £3 debt owed her late husband at the 14 (4) 1653 court at Salisbury. [Ref] Elizabeth and Henry were sued for debt by Joseph Armitage at the 25 (9) 1651 court at Salem.

On 8 (8) 1667 the Court at Hampton appointed Elizabeth's son-in-law John Stowers administrator of her estate.

Ralph Blaisdell married by about 1632, Elizabeth ____ (assuming she was the mather of all his children). She died at Salisbury [blank] Aug 1667.

They had four children: Henry, Martha Bowden Sealey CLOUGH, Mary Stowers Sterling, & Sarah. There is no evidence for a son Ralph, as claimed in some secondary sources.
