'Henry BLAISDELL was born in 1632 in England. He died about 1705.
He had administration granted for estate on 11 MAR 1708
in Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. Ralph Blaisdell came
with his wife Elizabeth and son Henry to York prior to May 13, 1687.
Sailed from Milford Haven, Wales on June 4, 1635 on the Angel Gabriel.
Henry was one of the original proprieters of Amesbury, Mass. His son, Henry, had a garrison house there. Son, John, was Representative to the General court, also Commissioner to settle boundary line between New Hampshire and Mass. His son, Nathaniel, was a Revolutionary soldier.
Nathaniel Blaisdell of Chester, N.H. served as a Private. Signed the Association test at Chester, later served as a private in Col. Gilman's N.H. troops, Capt. Samuel McConnell's Co., Col. David Gilman's Regiment commanded by Col. John Webster. Mustered Dec. 1776. 3 months wages. Traveled to New Hampshire. 28 whole, amt. 58.
William Blaisdell, Revolutionary War, appears with rank of private on Muster Roll of Capt. Agrippa Wells' Co, Col. Whitcombs Regt. dated Aug 1, 1775. Time of enlistment, June 22, 1775, length of service, 1 month, 12 days. Town to which soldier belonged was Hampton Falls. Appears with rank of private on Company Receipt dated camp at Prospect Hill for wages for Sept. 1775. Capt. Agrippa Wells' Co, Col. Asa Whitcombs regt on company return in Oct, 1775.
Appears as having signed with others an order for bounty coats or their equivalent in money, due for the eight months service in 1775. dated Prospect Hill, November 17, 1775, Vol. 57, file 15.

Biography
Henry Blaisdell was born c 1632, son of Ralph and Elizabeth (unknown) Blaisdell who emigrated to York Maine in 1635, and removed to Salisbury, Massachusetts by 1640. [1]
1667/8 : February 24: Henry Blaisdell consented to a grant of land by his widowed mother to his sister Mary, wife of Joseph Stowers. [1]
Henry married by 1657, Mary Haddon. Mary was born c1637, daughter of Garrett and Margaret (unknown) Haddon. [2]
Mary's father Gerhard Hadden, of Amesbury, wrote his will on January 20, 1686/7, in it he names, among others: [2]

Henry's estate was inventoried on March 9, 1707/8. His house barn, pasture and other lots were valued at c L 52. He had tools of husbandry as well as several sheep and lambs, 2 oxen, a swine, a cow and a mare. [4]
Samuel Clough, Ebenezer Blasdell and William Pressey, all being of age, submitted a written testimony to the court that they heard, on On March 9, xxxx, Elizabeth Blasdell, widow of Henry Blasdell Sr., state that she renounced the administration of her late husband's estate, that she would not keep the house, nor any goods. Further, that she handed the keys to the eldest son, Henry Blasdell Jr., and 'went away.' [4]
There is a Memorial to the First Settlers of Amesbury -1654, at the Golgotha Burial Ground, Amesbury, Massachusetts, and Henry Blaisdell's name is recorded there. [5]

Fourteen children were born of this union. After the death of Mary he then married Elizabeth (---?---), circa 1691 in Salisbury. We see by the town records that Henry resided early in Amesbury, where he received various land grants. He like his father followed the occupation of tailor. We see he took the Oath of Allegiance December 1677; freeman, 1690.
