Biography == Elizabeth Jones was born about 1665 in Haddam, Hartford, Connecticut Colony. Her parents were Richard and Elizabeth (Carpenter) Jones. Richard died in August 1670, in Haddam. Elizabeth's birth year and location are based on the distribution of her father's estate in April 1671, wherein Elizabeth was listed as five years old.≤ref>Connecticut: Early Probate Records, 1635-1730. Elizabeth and her three siblings were each given small sums of money, to be raised by selling part of her father's land. Elizabeth's motherwas left with four children, the oldest only eight.
