About Elizabeth (Case) Lewis Tuller

Elizabeth Case was the eldest child of John Case and Sarah Spencer.

She lived in Windsor, Connecticut until the spring of 1669, when her family moved to nearby Massacoe (now Simsbury), settling in the Weatogue section.

Elizabeth married Joseph Lewis of Simsbury in 1674. They had three children, likely all born in Simsbury:

  1. Elizabeth Lewis, b. 20 March 1675; m. _____ Smith
  2. Joseph Lewis, b. 15 March 1676/7; settled in Waterbury, Connecticut
  3. John Lewis, b. 8 January 1680/1; m. Abigail Bacon

Following Joseph death in 1680, Elizabeth married John Tuller in 1684. In 1690, they had a farm on the south border of Simsbury, to the east of the Farmington River. John was one of the founders of the church on 10 November 1697.

Elizabeth had six children with John, all born in Simsbury:

  1. Sarah Tuller, b. 4 August 1685
  2. William Tuller, b. 10 June 1687
  3. Samuel Tuller, b. 1689
  4. Mary Tuller, b. 27 November 1692
  5. Jacob Tuller, b. 22 May 1694
  6. Mabel Tuller, b. 22 February 1699

Elizabeth died suddenly on 9 October 1718. Per the local Simsbury records, "[s]he was well and died in about six hours' time."
