Elizabeth (Riley) Mitchell had an older half-sister named Elizabeth Riley the Elder, who married William Chaplain/Chapline. It was William's son, Joseph Chapline who witnessed the land deal between David Mitchell and his brother-in-law, James Lee (d1750).
