Biography

Elizabeth was born about 1452 in Romford, Essex, England, the daughter of Henry Belknap and Margaret Knollys. She died in 1517 in Giddy Hall, Romford, Essex, England.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Leonard Dunnett. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. They had no known children.

Her second husband was Sir Phillip Cooke (b. Abt 1454 - d. 17 June 1497), the son of Thomas Cooke and Elizabeth de Malpas. They were married, but the date and place have not been found.

Their six known children were

1. John (c1473-1515),
2. Beatrix (c1475-1554),
3. Richard (c1477-1517),
4. Anthony (c1481-1517),
5. Mary (1479-1517) and
6. Humphrey (c1485-1545).
