After his first wife died, John Wood married second, Elizabeth. Whether they ever had any children together is unknown, but his two young children, Susanna and Elizabeth are assumed to be by his second wife, Elizabeth. After John Wood died, his widow Elizabeth married Hugh Parson who had his property adjacent to the Wood's.

2. Elizabeth (b abt 1651) married Isaac DOTY of Oyster Bay

Biography

Elizabeth Wood was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (_____) Wood. Her surname was not England as previously believed. [1]

Her father John Wood died in 1655 making provision for his wife Elizabeth, other children and his two young daughters Susanna and Elizabeth.[2]

Elizabeth's mother then married Hugh Parsons who in his will made January 11, 1684, and proved March 14 of the same year, gave certain legacies to his wife's two daughters living on Long Island. Susannah Carpenter and Elizabeth Doty.[3] Ephraim Carpenter married Susanna England, so from this was concluded that the girl's maiden name was England. But Susanna had been married previously to Ephraim England, so England was not her maiden name.[1]

Elizabeth Wood married Isaac Doty of Oyster Bay.
