About Elizabeth H Farmer
Lititz Express, Mar. 30, 1917, p. 1: Mrs. Elizabeth Farmer Mrs. Elizabeth H. Farmer died at 8:35 o'clock yesterday morning at her home in Miller's Row of an attack of apoplexy. aged 79 years, 5 months and 9 days. She had been ill only 24 hours.
She was a daughter of John Henry Lutz and was born at Lexington. She resided for many years at Lititz. She was a member of the Lutheran Church at White Oak and late of the Rothsville Lutheran Church. She sang in the choir in her girlhood. She was married to John B. Farmer 55 years ago. Her husband died 14 years ago.
Three daughters and two sons survive, namely, Mrs. Elias Enck, of Ephrata; Jacob, of Manheim; Mrs. Anna L. Ball, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Adolph Uhlig, of Rothsville; John B. Farmer, of Lancaster. There are 25 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren living. Two sisters and one brother survive: Mrs. Hettie Shelly (aged 82), of Lexington; Benjamin H. Lutz (77), of Lititz; and Mrs. Frank Weidman (73), of Lexington.
The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon with services at the house at 1:30 o'clock and at 2 o'clock at the Lutheran Church at Rothsville, where interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. F. A. Weicksel, of Lititz, will officiate.
