Daughter of John Shine and Eleanor McIver. At the time of her birth, the location was in Dobbs County. In Tennessee, she once repelled a group of Indians when her husband was away. With the children, she followed him to New Orleans later in 1807 on a keelboat. Died of yellow fever.
