Elizabeth Gardiner

d/o John Allyn / Ann Smith - Granddaughter of Matthew Allyn early settler of Hartford, CT.

Died on Gardiners Island and is buried there. In 1806, John Lyon Gardiner the Seventh Proprietor of the Island erected a memorial stone over her grave. The date of her death does not appear there.

Date for the former is East Hampton Church Records, and the inscription on her headstone -Sarah. The date for the latter is the genealogy of the Allen Family, Chandler Family and Savage's Genealogical Dictionary.
