About Elizabeth "Bettie" Fields

Elizabeth was born about 1735, possibly in Goochland County, Virginia. Elizabeth Murrell was first married to Richard Fields on Oct 1757 in Dover Church, Goochland County, Virginia. She was the mother of Ann Fields, Thomas Fields, Elizabeth Fields, Sarah Fields and Joel "Jack" Fields and then Richard Fields died. She was still a young woman and remarried John Gilliam on 27 Sep 1764 in Goochland County, Virginia. They had three sons, Epaphroditus, Cornelius & John Gilliam Jr. She passed away before 1781 when John Gilliam remarried. [1]
