<p>Elizabeth GODFREY was born on 9 May 1798 in Rolvenden, Kent, England. She died on 12 Nov 1838 in Spring Cove Quarantine Station, Manly NSW. The cause of death was Scarlet Fever. Elizabeth emigratedon 24 Jun 1838 from Gravesend in Kent (near London). She immigrated 1 on 6 Nov 1838 arriving in Sydney on ship 'Maitland'. [Parents]</p><p><p></p></p><p><p>Elizabeth immigrated to Australia via the ship 'Maitland' arriving in Sydney 6 Nov 1838. However she did not survive the voyage on the disease ridden ship and died shortly after her arrival at the Quarantine Station in Spring Cove at Manly. Officials at the Quarantine Station are of the opinion that Elizabeth is likely to have been buried in the Quarantine Cemetery. In 1854 the headstones were removed and stored at the Quarantine Station. However a search of the stored headstones in Feb 1987 failed to find one for Elizabeth Bowden.</p><p><p></p></p><p>[Child]</p>
