• 27/2/1788 - tried at the 'Old Bailey', Middlesex; aged 16; Death sentence for violent assault commuted;
• 29/7/1789 - departed Portsmouth aboard the 'Lady Juliana' after the ship laid in the Thames for 6 mos.;
• 9/12/1789 - 'Lady Juliana' arrives Cape of Good Hope;
• 3/6/1790 - 'Lady Juliana' arrives in Port Jackson; first convict ship to arrive after the 1st Fleet;
• 8/7/1790 - Elizabeth transferred to Norfolk Island on "Surprize";
• 1/7/1791 - Elizabeth SMITH (age 16, convict from London) living with James GRACE;
• 1796 - Elizabeth & Samuel Free co-habitating; first child born 1797;
• 7/1/1807 - "HMS Porpoise" departs Norfolk Island with Elizabeth, Samuel & family;
• 23/4/1810 - Samuel & Elizabeth marry in Hobart;
• 4/2/1812 - Elizabeth receives Absolute Pardon;
• 3/6/1819 - Death of Samuel Free
• 22/6/1850 - Death of Elizabeth at Clarence Plains;
