Biography

Uncertain Origins

Elizabeth was born in 1718 at Charles County, Maryland, and is said to be the daughter of Solomon Nalley.citation needed
We do not know the origins of Elizabeth Nalley? Any of the brothers, Richard Solomon, Dennis or Joseph, have been proposed as possibilities for fathers of Elizabeth. This information is given as clues for further research only.

Uncertain Marriage===Elizabeth is often said to have married Abraham Hargis.citation needed However there is some doubt about this. As researcher, Duane Hargis, reports, Abraham Hargis sold property to Isaac Cambell in Charles County, MD in July 1751, and his wife, "Jane" relinquished her right of dower MD Land Records, Charles Co, Liber Z2 p512-14).<ref name="Hargis">Hargis, Duane, HARGIS-L Archives November 4, 2010, accessed February 6, 2015</ref>

Death and Legacy===Elizabeth (Nalley) Hargis passed away in 1775 at Persons County, North Carolina.citation needed*https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Person_County,_North_Carolina: The colonial government established Person County as part of Edgecombe County in 1746. County designations kept changing, and it was part of Granville County from 1746 to 1752; included in Orange County until 1778; and part of Caswell County until 1791/1792. By dividing Caswell County into two squares–each side measuring approximately twenty (20) miles in length, the state formed two counties of 400 square miles (1,000 km2) each. The county was named after Brigadier General Thomas Person, a Revolutionary War patriot, who made significant contributions to Person County and surrounding areas.

It was very unusual for someone to have a middle name before about the 1780's. What is your source for the middle name (anything other than an undocumented Family Tree?)
Author: Jenn Lehr
nalley-27 and nalley-73 are in fact the same person. Richard's middle name is Solomon and they very frequently used their middle names during this time. Everything else about the two profiles match. Please merge.
