About Elizabeth Harrington

Biography

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Dacre-1

Elizabeth was born about 1405.[1] She was the daughter of Thomas Dacre[1] and Jane Banastre.[2]

She married Thomas son of Sir William Haryngton.[1][2][3] They had three sons and five daughters.

Sons

  1. John[3]
  2. James[3][4]
  3. Robert[3][4]

Daughters

  1. Margaret[3][4]
  2. Joan[3][4] or Jane married John Savill[2]
  3. Anne[3][4]
  4. Katherine[3][4]
  5. Agnes[3][4]

Elizabeth died on 18 April 1485.[3]

Her heirs were her granddaughters Anne, wife of Edward Stanley, knight, and Elizabeth, wife of John Stanley, esquire.[3] They were the daughters and heirs of John son and heir of Elizabeth.[3]

Disputed Parents

Elizabeth is sometimes shown as the daughter of Thomas Dacre and his wife Philippe de Neville. However, that family lived in Brampton, Cumberland, and the other children were born at Naworth Castle, Brampton, while Elizabeth is shown as being born in Holton, Lancashire.

TudorPlace makes her the 6th Baron's daughter, but Wikipedia doesn't give him a daughter Elizabeth. Stirnet says under Harington that her father was Thomas son of Edmund, but doesn't have a Dacre pedigree.
