About Elizabeth Hines
She was the daughter of John Childress, who was a soldier in the Rev. War. He was a farmer by occupation, and served in the war of 1812, under Gen Jackson, being an ensign in the army.He was mustered out of service after the battle of the "Horseshoe" and drew a pension to the time of his death.
