Elizabeth Lothrop, dau. of Melatiah Lothrop & Sarah Farrar, b. at Barnstable, Mass. Nov. 23, 1677. She purportedly d. at Tolland Feb. 21, 1763, Æ 86, although her death is not recorded in the Tolland records and no gravestone can be found at Tolland among those of her husband and children. Some believe Elizabeth subsequently lived with one of her married children in New York State and died there.

On Dec. 17, 1696 at Barnstable, Mass. Elizabeth m. Hope Lothrop, her 1st cousin once removed, son of Capt. Joseph Lothrop and Mary Ansel of Barnstable. Hope was b. at Barnstable July 15, 1671 and d. at Tolland, Conn. Oct. 29, 1734, Æ 64.
