Elizabeth Linn (Laird)

It is believed that Elizabeth had at least 2 children: Elizabeth, and Simon, with William (Wilhelm) Linn (Lynn).

Per the 1820 Census (August 7, 1820) a William Linn was the head of a household and living in Hemlock Township of Columbia County, Pennsylania. The 1820 Census lists his age as between 26-44. His wife (Elizabeth) was living in the household with him. Her age was listed as between 16-25. Also two children were listed living within the household. A son 10-15 years old and a daughter under 10 years old. William Linn was employed in Agriculture.

Per the 1830 Census a William Lynn was the head of a household and living in Hemlock Township of Columbia County, Pennsylvania. The 1830 Census lists his age as between 50 and 59. His wife (Elizabeth) was living in the household with him. Her age was listed as between 60 and 69. Per this Census information William was born between 1771 and 1780 and Elizabeth was born between 1761 and 1770.

Per the 1840 Census. Elizabeth, widowed, is identified as living with their son Simon Lynn, in Montour Township of Columbia County, Pennsylvania. Her age in the 1840 Census was between 70 and 79, which would have made her birth year between 1761 and 1770. It is believed that William Lynn died in August of 1836.

Per the 1850 US Census Elizabeth Linn was living with her son Simon Linn and his family in Montour Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania, when she was a 91 year old widower. Elizabeth stated in 1850 that she and both her parents were born in Germany.

Elizabeth is not listed in the 1860 US Census within Simon's household. Therefore it is believed she died sometime between the 1850 and 1860 Census periods. Some information found online points to her death occuring in 1854 in Montour Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania at the age of 94, which would have made her year of birth right around 1759/1760.
