Elizabeth Maxwell

Elizabeth Maxwell, married John Gordon contr. 1583, son of James Gordon and Margaret Chicton. He died on 23 AUG 1604. She married Alexander Fraser contr. 1606, son of Alexander FRASER and Beatrix KEITH. He died in July 1623.

The children of Elizabeth Maxwell and John Gordon are:

• + 2 i. Sir Robert Gordon died in 1628. He married Isabel Ruthven on 1 FEB 1597, daughter of William Ruthven and Dorothea Stewart.
• + 3 ii. James Gordon died in MAY 1633. He married Margaret Vans, daughter of John Vans and Margaret McDowall. She died Aft. 1659.
• + 4 iii. Janet Gordon. married John McDowall, son of Uchtred McDowall and Margaret Kennedy. He was christened 17 OCT 1600 in 11th, died 1611
• + 5 iv. Grizel Gordon was born ABT 1598. She married Alexander Stewart contr. 16 Oct 1600, son of Alexander Stewart and Christian Douglas. He was christened in his father when underage, who died in 1649.
