Elizabeth married Jacob Norton of Louisville, Kentucky. Their children were:

a. Charles Norton - married rich planter's daughter and lived at Montgomery Alabama.He was a steamboat captain and proprietor. His boat, the Magnolia was captured by Union forces on the Mississippi in the Rebellion and was blown up. The Union commander thought Norton was a Rebel, whereas, he was a Union man. After the war, when the facts were shown the Government, they reimbursed him for his loss.

b. George Norton was a steamboat engineer. He died of yellow fever.

c. Alexander Norton married twice. His first wife was Miss Louise Randolph. His second wife was a French lady from the South. Alexander Norton was burned to death, while on a train which was wrecked in the state of New York since the War.

d. Henry Clay Norton was on the 'Magnolia" when she was captured and was made a prisoner of war, and died at Port-Royal before the fact was learned that he was not a Rebel.

e. Emaline Norton Hawkins.

f. Martha Norton - married a Mr. Shelton, of Louisville, Kentucky; married 2nd - a Dr. Norton (not related) of Florida.

g. Julia Norton (died in childhood)

h. Georgia Ann Norton, who also died in childhood.
