Colonel James Minot, born 1694; died 1759; married 14 November 1716, Martha (born 1 October 1694, died 18 January 1734/5), daughter of Colonel John Lane, of Billerica; married (2) 9 October 1735, Elizabeth (born 1705, died 13 September 1779), daughter of Tilley Wilder of Lancaster, Massachusetts, and widow of Tilley Merrick, of Brookfield, Massachusetts. She survived him and married for a third husband, 10 May, 1763, Rev. Daniel Rogers, of Littleton, Mass. Col. James Minot was one of the most prominent citizens of Concord, which fact is shown by his gravestone in Concord, in the Hill Burying Ground.
