She was the daughter of Robert Williams and Mary Turley. Her father died in Kershaw, Kershaw County, South Carolina, but her mother came with the children, her sister Margaret Turley Pope Fraser and a number of other related families to Yalobusha County/Grenada County, Mississippi in the 1830s. They were among the early settlers. Elizabeth A. Williams married Rev. Rosamond about 1821 and had 10 children:
