SEMI-WEEKLY INTERIOR JOURNAL, STANFORD, KENTUCKY Friday, November 26, 1886 Page 3 Marriages The following nice notice of the marriage of a pretty young lady, formerly of this place, to a late citizen of Crab Orchard, appears in Wednesday's Courier Journal: Mr. T. H. Saunders and Miss Bessie Harris were married at 7 o'clock yesterday morning at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. H. T. Harris, No. 1,824 West Chestnut street. The ceremony was witnessed by only immediate friends and relatives, and was performed by Rev. Dr. Granville Waller, of Zion Episcopal church. The bride was dressed in a traveling costume of gray tricot cloth, trimmed with cords and velvet, wrap to match, trimmed with ostrich feathers and a hat of gray felt, trimmed with tips and velvet. After the wedding a pleasant breakfast was served, when the couple took the "Palmetto" sleeper on the 8:30 o'clock train over the L. & N. for Florida. The groom is a wholesome grocer of Orlando, Fla, and is a gentleman of excellent business and social qualities. The bride is not only a very handsome young lady, but has betrayed considerable literary talent through a number of poems that have appeared from time to time in the Courier-Journal and other papers. The bride and groom met last summer at a watering place and fell in love at first sight. Mr. Saunders afterward visited his summer sweetheart at her father's house, and the affair ripened into a genuine love match.
