Elizabeth Collier married on 2 Nov 1637 at Plymouth, Plymouth Colony to Constant Southworth, son of Edward and Alice (Carpenter) Southworth. She was the daughter of William Collier and Jane Clark, baptized 9 March 1619 at St Olave, Southwark in Surrey, England, and died after 20 February 1678/9 at Duxbury, Plymouth Colony, the date her husband’s will was written.
The eight children of Elizabeth Collier and William Southworth were:
- Mercy (1638-1712). Married Samuel Freeman.
- Edward (1644-~1727). Married Mary Pabodie.
- Mary "Marie" (~1650->1718). Married David Alden.
- Priscilla (ca1651-1722). Married 1) Samuel Talbot 2) John Irish.
- Alice (~1646-1719). Married Benjamin Church.
- Nathaniel (1648-1711). Married Desire Gray.
- Elizabeth (ca1658-1709). Married Samuel Gallup.
- William (~1659-1719). Married Rebecca Pabodie.

“In John Cole’s will which was probated on January 7, 1637/38, he not only left five shillings to William Colllier’s daugher, Elizabeth, but he gave ‘unto each of master Collyers men half a crouen a peece,’ and named five men, probably workmen but possibly servants.” 658
“Constant Southworth made his will 27 February 1678 and inventory was taken 15 March 1678/9:
. . . I will and bequeath vnto my deare and loving wife Elizabeth Southworth for and dureing the tearme of her Naturall Life, my dwellinghouse with the out housing and Mill belonging vnto it, and all vplands and Meddowes; Lying and being within the towne of Duxburrow, or Marshfield for her support & comfort . . . Item I will and bequeath vnto my deare and Loving wife Elizabeth Southworth (my Debts and Legacyes being first payed) All the Rest of my estate in whatsoever it is or wheresoever it my abe found I Give it all vnto her my aforesaid Deare and Loving wife. And I doe by these presents appoint make ordain my Deare and Loving wife Elizabeth Southworth my full Lawfull and sole Executrix of this My Last Will and Testament . . .. 598
“Elizabeth Collier, bp. St. Olave, Southwark, co. Surrey, England, 9 March 1618/9 (TAG, 49:215); died after 20 February 1678/9 (the date of her husband’s will); daughter of William and Jane (___) (Clark_ Collier.
She married at Plymouth, Massachusetts, 2 November 1637 (MD, 13:84), General Constant Southworth, son of Edward and Alice (Carpenter) Southworth.” 598
