Elizabeth Eskridge was the daughter of Col. Eskridge's second wife. She married twice. First to William Aylett then to Dr. James Steptoe. Both of these men had children before marrying Elizabeth. Strangely, both men were married to Ashton Sisters. Anne Steptoe Washington was first the daughter of Dr. James Steptoe and Hannah Ashton. She was Samuel Washington's 4th of 5 wives.   2. James Steptoe M.D. ABT 1744 in , Westmorland Co., Virginia, son of John Steptoe and Elizabeth Pinkard. He was born ABT 1710 in 'Hominy Hall", Westmorland Co., Virginia, and died ABT 1778 in , Westmorland Co., Virginia.

  • (3b) 1744, 20 Oct: Elizabeth ESKRIDGE, widow of George ESKRIDGE, made her will. Gave to daughter Elizabeth AYLETT.
