Biography
Elizabeth, wife of Josiah Brackett, is thought to be the oldest child of Cornelius Waldo and Hannah Cogswell.
Elizabeth is mentioned in several wills researched by Waldo Lincoln, the noted Waldo Family Historian. At the time of the writing of the wills, Elizabeth and Josiah had two living daughters, Sarah and Elizabeth. The wills give a good picture of the material circumstances of the family as items such as "an old hook" are mentioned in the short list.
Note: Waldo Lincoln has a footnote suggesting that the mention of this family in "The History of Billerica" incorrectly lists daughter Elizabeth instead of Sarah as born November 1 in 1674. His notes suggest Elizabeth's birth was 4 years later according to Braintree Records.

This NEHGR date for her birth seems suspect as it is long before her parent's wedding date, but it seems solid birth records for the first three Waldo children are not to be had. So, a safe guess for the first three Waldo Children's birth years would be between the parents marriage in January 1651 and August 1657 when their brother Daniel's birth was recorded. a reasonable estimation would be something like Elizabeth 1651, John 1653, Cornelius Jr. in 1655, given their understood birth order.
