About Elizabeth Walters
Elizabeth Reynolds, dau. of Thomas Reynolds and Elizabeth Hopkins, was born in Conn. on Nov 3, 1764. He parents must have moved to the county then names Charlotte, in New York, because she married STARLING (or Sterling) WATERS in that county, which had been re-named Washington County, about 1781. They settled in that part of Washington County which was to become Warren County. Their home was in Horicon Township. Elizabeth and Sterling had at least eleven children between 1786 and 1805. When Sterling died in 1809, Elizabeth, along with her two brothers, were forced to give a bond of Three Thousand Dollars in order to settle his estate, because he left no will. Elizabeth died on May 13, 1859 in Boton, Warren Co., New York. She is buried in the Bolton Cemetery, Boton, Warren Co., New York. There is an empty space next to her marker, which probably is his gravesite.
