Ella Irene Collier was born January 20, 1910, in Paris, Lamar County, Texas, daughter of William Nathaniel Collier and Ophelia Tennessee "Tennie" (Eubank) Collier. She attended Paris schools and a beauty school. During the 1940's and 1950's, she operated the Stellrose Beauty Shop in Paris.

She married Albert Carl Fryar. Their 2 sons are Anthony Carlyle and Allen Cary Fryar. In 1967, she married Edward S. Chadburn. In Paris, she was a member of the Altrusia Club, various garden clubs, and several bridge groups. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. In August 1988, she was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Carlyle Fryar. By 1993, her family included 6 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

On Sunday, September 19, 1993, Ella Irene (Collier) Fryar Chadburn, age 83, formerly of 1861 Belmont St. in Paris, died in McCuistion Regional Medical Center, Paris, TX. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gifford Long of Calvary United Methodist Church presiding. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery, 3 miles SE of Paris, Lamar County, Texas.

Ella Irene Chadburn, 83, formerly of 1861 Belmont, died Sunday, Sept. 19 (1993), in McCuistion Regional Medical Center (Paris, TX). Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gifford Long officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery. The family received friends from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Chadbum was born Jan. 20, 1910, in Paris, a daughter of William and Tennie Collier. She attended Paris schools and a beauty school. She operated the Stellrose Beauty Shop here in the 1940's and 1950's. She married Edward S. Chadburn in 1967. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and its Friendship Sunday school Class. She was a member of the Altrusa Club, various garden clubs, and several bridge groups.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Cary Fryar of Silverthorn, Colo.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, A.Carlyle Fryar.
