Doe Hill: Mrs. Ellen Virginia Crummett died Sunday morning Feb. 16 at 7 o’clock. Her age was 82 years, 4 months. and 11 days. Mrs. Crummett was a highly respected, honest, hard-working woman. She had been in declining health for sometime. Her husband C.F. Crummett preceded her to the grave five months ago. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William Simmons and eight grand children, four sisters, Mr;. Ollie Whislman of Stokesville, Va., Mrs. Nettie Shull of Mount Solon, Mrs. Mary Martin of Lynnwood, Va., and Mrs. Maggie Heatwole of Spring Creek, also three brothers, Robert, Cleve and John Knott all of Stokesville, Va. Funeral service were held from the Doe Hill church, Tuesday at 2 o’clock by the Rev. S. Kullman of the Luthern church. Interment was in the Doe Hill cemetery.
