Elva Browning-Sexton

Viola had a daughter, Elva, born out of wedlock in Feb. 1881. A year later she met and married Allen Sexton, a recent widower and a man twenty-two years her senior. Allen raised Elva as his own daughter.

Elva S. Sexton, 39 years old, died at 7:45 o'clock yesterday evening at the residence at 631North Third street. The body was taken to Gillis' chapel. Funeral announcement will be made later
