About Emilie Arend

Milka was born in Prague on 14 Feb., 1908. She married Georg Arend and they had one daughter, Maja. Milka and Maja were probably transported on the same transport as Georg and his siblings, Transport C, on 26, Oct., 1941, and were held first at Hamburger Strasse 40, Flat 20., later at Firsch Strasse, 2. According to an email from Nina Klein Friedman to Susan Loewy Lubow, "Milena, (Milka) was pushed off the wagon that was transporting Maja away from Łódź, broke a leg - and I think was sent to Auschwitz."
