On the 29th July, a pretty wedding ceremony took place at Coalville, when Miss Emily Florence Isabel Horsnell, fifth eldest daughter of Mr A. O. Horsnell, of "Glen Dolcie" Coalville, and Mr Henry George Moore, of "Bell Bank" Lara, were united in the holy bond of wedlock. The ceremony was celebrated at the residence of the bride's parents, the Rev. A. H. Mitchell, Methodist minister, officiating. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a silk muslin d'soie dress, prettily trimmed with shadow insertion, silk and ribbon, and carried a shower-bouquet of asparagus fern, roses and marguerites. She also wore the orthodox veil, caught at the top with a sprig of orange blossom. Miss Florrie Horsnell attended the bride, and was tastefully gowned in a white embroidered dress made in tunic style. Mr Reg. Moore, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. At the close of the wedding breakfast, at which the usual toasts were duly honored, the happy couple departed by train on a prolonged honeymoon in the Western district, admidst showers of confetti, congratulations and good wishes from their many friends. The present of the bridegroom to the bride was a set furs. Bride to bridegroom, a gold pendant (engraved.) Bridegroom to bridesmaid, gold ruby wish-bone brooch. A large number of useful and valuable presents were received.
