About Emily "Posy" Kent Platt McDaniel
From "The Washingtons: Volume 7, Part 1" Page 103: In the 1940s, she worked in the laboratories of Mass. Gen'l Hospital. After graduating from Simmons College School of Social Work, she organized the Framingham (Mass.) Youth Guidance Center. After becoming a licensed clinical social worker in 1976, she worked as a counselor for several schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. She also worked with patients being discharged from North Charles General Hospital (Baltimore, Md.) and did outpatient counseling at the Phipps Clinic, Johns Hopkins Hospital. She enjoyed traveling the world - her first travel was on the Queen Mary in 1939 with her grandmother. Her later years took her to Brazil, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Indonesia, China and India.
