Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Rash, 75 who died Saturday. Feb. 23, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Malo Reece of Dobson, N.C., were held Wednesday afternoon, March 4, at the Community Church. The Rev. B.H. Harris was in charge. Mrs. E.H. Biersborn was organist. Casket bearers were Ross Hauser, Earl Sawin, Vern Hammer, Phillip Hamm, Clinton Brace and Klee Benbow. Interment was in the Miller Cemetery.
Mrs. Rash was born Emma Snow, the daughter of Martin and Sarah Snow in North Carolina. She was united in marriage with Frank Rash in 1905 at Union. Three children were born to this union: Mildred, of Dobson, N.C.; Raymond, of Orlando, Fla., and a son who died in infancy.
She is survived by her husband, two children, a brother, seven grand-children and one great grand-child. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son.

The wedding of Miss Emma Snow to Mr. Frank Rash was solemnized by Rev. Hickman at the home of the groom's sister Wednesday [Dec. 13, 1905]. The bride has many friends at Bangor, where she has lived for a year and a half.

It appears that in 1900 Daisy Emaline Snow, at 17, was a servant in the Cockerham residence in Wilkes County, NC. Her parents had died in 1890 & 1891. This could be the wrong person, but what are the odds of there being two Daisy E. Snows born in the same month in the same county? Five years later she married Frank Rash.

1905 Iowa State Census - Daisy Emaline Snow was out of North Carolina and living in Bangor Township, Marshall County, Iowa. - She married Frank Rash in December of this same year. Why did she move to Marshall County, Iowa? Frank's father was born in North Carolina, like Emma and her parents. Was there some familial connection that brought her to the Rashes in Iowa?

An account of the descendants of Robert and Setha Rash by Patricia Fistler Rash says Frank Rash was Emma's second marriage. I haven't been able to separately verify this or learn Mr. McCann's first name:
