Enoch Chandler was born in the Delaware Bay area on June 16, 1755. He was the 7th of 8 children of Swithin Chandler and Ann Wilson Chandler.
When Enoch was 19, he married Hannah Baldwin, the 21-year-old daughter of Francis and Margaret Baldwin of Christiana Hundred, Delaware. Their marriage took place on December 7, 1774, in Old Swedes Church, Wilmington, Delaware. Enoch and Hannah had 13 children, the last being twins born July 22, 1797.
Enoch moved west at some point, but we do not know when. In 1790 he was in Luzerne Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. In 1823 he made a deed in Harrison County, Ohio. He died about 1840 in Columbiana County, Ohio. His will is on file in the Lisbon, Ohio, courthouse.
