Henry was born in Germany and moved to Pennsylvania with his parents; Built a home at Ewalts Crossroads in Bourbon County. Served in the Revolutionary war as Ensign in 6th Company Bedford Militia. [2]

A Patriot of the American Revolution for PENNSYLVANIA with the rank of ENSIGN. On December 10, 1777 Henry was commissioned an Ensign of the Sixth Company of the First Battalion of Pennsylvania Militia. [3]
