About Ernst Frederick Loesch
From the limited number of Loesch records in the NZ BDM is looks there might have been only one family. Despite imprisonment in 1929, it seems E.F. eventually turned himself around and founded a furniture & cabinet business with his son(?) Denys Frederick Loesch. (trademark issued 1945 for E.F. & D.F. Loesch Co. in NZ Archives)

The Second Division Roll of the New Zealand Expeditionay Force Reserve was created by the NZ Government in August-October 1917.
Classification is based on the number of children of a reservist.
Class A - Reservists who have no children or who failed to provide adequate maintenance for their children.
